If you’re looking to edit video without breaking the bank, look no further than Windows Movie Maker 2022, which includes everything you need to quickly put together captivating videos to share on your social media channels or on your website. In just five minutes, you can learn how to use this free video editing software to craft your own personal story from start to finish! Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Downloading WMM

We’ll begin by downloading Windows Movie Maker 2222. Click here to go directly to their download page. This program is compatible with most versions of Microsoft operating systems and can be used by PC or Mac users. ___________ When you click on Download, a pop-up window will appear, reminding you that downloading anything outside of your browser may harm your computer if it comes from an untrusted source.

Step 2: Editing Basics

The first step in video editing is organizing your clips, whether you’re using an editing program or just cutting clips together on your computer. If you have a single video file, start by importing it into your software. Once it’s in there, look at each clip individually. You want to eliminate any dead air or awkward pauses between words, and then crop out any unnecessary portions of video.

Step 3: Trimming Clips

Once you’ve got your video clips in place, use Movie Maker’s editing tools to trim them down. To trim a clip, just click and drag its left or right edge toward either side of your timeline. You can also select an individual audio track and delete it by clicking on it and pressing delete. When you’re finished making adjustments, save your project by clicking save as.

Step 4: Adding Music and Sound Effects

In addition to your video clips, you’ll also want music and sound effects for your movie. You can use royalty-free music and effects from various stock audio sites. Just be sure that when you upload a video with copyrighted material (like pop songs) that you have permission to use it or you risk violating copyright laws and getting sued by another company.

Step 5: Recording a Voiceover Narration

Your video should begin with a voiceover narration, which is essentially a script for your video. It should be written in first person and talk about your product or service. You can use phrases like, I’m excited to tell you... or In our last episode we discussed... There are other creative ways of structuring a script, too. Try keeping it short, only giving viewers a taste of what they can expect from watching your video.

Step 6 – Adding Titles and Credits

By default, these fields aren’t included in your project file. The reason for this is because you want your viewers or readers to focus on what you’re saying first, and then pay attention to any visual elements you might include in your video (or slideshow). You can easily add a title by clicking on Titles & Credits (under Video Tools) and choosing a new title style. There are plenty of options here – choose one that fits best!

Step 7 – Export

To export your video, select a place to save it on your computer. You can also click Reveal in Explorer which will open Windows Explorer and take you directly to where you saved it on your computer. Once that is done, you are ready to upload it onto YouTube! Congratulations! Your first edit has been completed!
