1) What you need
There are many video editing programs out there to choose from. But some of them, like Filmora, make it easy to create and edit videos without the confusion that can come with using complicated software. Here are 10 tips that will help you use Filmora successfully, whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been editing videos for years. Just keep in mind that since Filmora works like other video editing programs, it does have its limits—if you try to put something outside of those limits into the program, then your results may not be quite what you expected.
1) What you need
A quality camera is still one of your most important pieces of luggage. . Today, that’s almost certainly going to be a smartphone. If you don’t have access to one, it may still be possible—with a bit of luck and timing—to borrow someone else’s phone. A tripod is also helpful in getting crisp footage without spending all day on your phone holding it above your head.
2) Editing Video
Most videos are made up of multiple clips that each need to be edited separately. For example, if you’re making a music video and have some shots from your iPhone and others from your DSLR, those need to be imported into different editing programs—whether it’s Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere—and then pieced together.
3) Add Transitions
Transitions are elements that connect your shots. They appear on screen for only a second or two, but they can help viewers move from one shot to another smoothly. A solid transition tells viewers that you planned out your project and gives them confidence in your skills as a filmmaker. Good transitions don’t have to be complicated—just choose something basic, like dissolves, fade-ins and fade-outs, crossfades and wipes.
4) Add Text and Watermarks
This is one of Filmora’s best features, because you can change and customize text easily. You can add titles, captions, or other effects onto your videos. Plus, you have complete control over where you place these text boxes and how big they are. Another nice feature is that watermarks can be added as well. With these options in place, you’ll have unlimited creativity with no restrictions!
5) Music and Audio Section
Before you get started, know that for music and audio, there are two main types of rights: mechanical (which covers synch) and master use (also called sync rights or synchronization rights). Mechanical and master use differ in significant ways. It’s best to understand both when purchasing music and uploading your own. If you don’t have clear understanding of what each is, then it’s best not to upload your own songs or audio.
6) Save Your Work
One of our favorite tips is also one of our simplest: keep things organized. You don’t want to end up watching hours and hours of footage but discover you can’t locate that interview with your spouse because it was filed under Scenes From Birthday Party. (Bummer.) So, be sure that before you start filming, you have some sort of system in place for keeping track of what you shoot.
7) Upload Your Video To YouTube
if you've finished editing your film, you can upload it directly to YouTube. First, click on File at the top of your screen. Then, select Upload and choose whether you want to publish publicly or privately (public is preferred). Copy and paste your embed code onto a new webpage. That's it! Your video will now be on YouTube for everyone to see. Simply visit YouTube and search for your video to view it in its new home online.

Click outside of your caption when you're done, or double-click inside it to hide it.
